Introduction
The Social Welfare Management Research Centre started its activity in 2000 as the Social Welfare Research Group. It was officially established as a research center in 2013 at the University of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences. Since the beginning of the centers activity as a research group, this center has implemented more than 70 research projects in the fields of social welfare and social problems, published dozens of books and more than 80 issues in the Social Welfare Quarterly journal, and held seminars and scientific meetings. Due to social welfares interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary nature, the centers members and colleagues are from various scientific fields and research interests, including sociology, psychiatry, social work, social medicine, social welfare management, psychology, statistics, etc.
The main goals of the center: • Expansion of basic and applied research and developing knowledge in social welfare, social health, and social problems, especially in disadvantaged groups. • Increasing the access and application of research and knowledge translation in policy making and planning in social welfare, social health, and social problems. • Development of researchers in social welfare, social health, and social problems.
